Uniqlo helps to protect refugee children from the coronavirus pandemic

Uniqlo helps children

At the moment of World Refugee Day Uniqlo donated part of its proceeds from online sales of goods for babies to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. The funds were allocated to protect refugee children from the Coronavirus pandemic by providing them with clean water, health care, sanitation products, and useful information on how to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

«Fast Retailing Group is an international company with operations in 25 countries and regions around the world. Fighting the spread of COVID-19 in developing countries that hosted refugees – people who are among the most vulnerable groups of risks in the world – is a great responsibility for us. Fast Retailing helps to protect refugees from the threat of infection and to improve their quality of life in the long term by supporting the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees’ Fund», said Yukihiro Nitta, First Vice President of Environmental and Social Responsibility at Fast Retailing – a company that owns Uniqlo.

The brand has provided 10m yen to help needy children and their families. These funds were established on June 19-26.
